CARIBBEAN SAILING CHARTERSIN GRENADA & THE GRENADINES
LTD Sailing Adventures offers a Caribbean Sailing Vacation experience like no other.
Tired of feeling like your vacation is the same pre-packaged tourist trap everyone else in the world has already taken? Time to check us out.
With us, your experiences are designed for people who enjoy getting off the beaten path, getting into their vacation, and being a part of the action. At LTD, we blur the lines between vacation, exploration, and adventure.
Our private Caribbean sailing adventures are one-way trips; which means new water, new beaches, and new experiences every day. We begin in St. Lucia, sail through St. Vincent & the Grenadines and finish in Grenada. Each day is spent sailing from island to island seeking maximum outdoor fun.
Your crew will help choose the anchorages and activities. Snorkeling and SCUBA diving with sea turtles, hiking volcanoes, stand-up paddle boarding, kite surfing and fishing mix with cultural and historical tours, local food and nightlife, and, of course, SAILING.
Choose your own adventure on a trip that's truly yours...
ITINERARY
Suggested Sailing Vacation itineraries for whenever you want to go!
Day 1
Crew Orientation, Basic Sailing
Destination: St. Lucia (Rodney Bay to the Pitons)
Description: Day one is all about getting to know the boat and the crew. You'll spend the morning orienting to the boat and the plan for the week with your skipper. Then it’s time to get after it.
A short sail along the leeward coast of St. Lucia serves as a perfect training ground for the new crew. Our night-one anchorage lies right beneath St. Lucia’s most iconic feature: the Pitons! Stoke will be high, but don’t party too hard because we’ve got an early morning climb.
Day 2
Early Morning Piton Climb (St. Lucia)
Destination: St. Vincent (Blue Lagoon)
Description: Day two is a big day! We’ll be up at 6 am to hike the Gros Piton.
Why so early? This is a 3 – 4 hour, moderately strenuous jungle hike. It’s a steep trail with a view you’ll never forget.
After the hike we'll set sail for St. Vincent... our longest crossing of the trip.
You'll sail into St. Vincent’s Blue Lagoon for a hot shower and a sunset cocktail on the beach (in no particular order).
Day 3
Early Morning Volcano Hike (La Soufriere, St. Vincent)
Destination: Bequia (Admiralty Bay)
Description: Another morning on the trail! Day three begins with a summit attempt on the highest peak in the Grenadines: the La Soufriere Volcano.
We’ll catch a local van from Blue Lagoon up the windward side of St. Vincent to one of the most breathtaking hikes in the Caribbean. We’ll catch some lunch at one of our favorite local spots on the way back before our short sail over to Bequia. Time to chill on the beach and enjoy the Grenadine sunset.
Day 4
Morning Dive, Afternoon Island Tour, Local Market Shopping
Destination: Bequia (layover day)
Description: After two huge days, it’s time to chill a bit and enjoy a full day in one of our favorite Grenadine islands.
You’ll spend the morning out diving (or snorkelling) with our friends at Dive Bequia.
After lunch we’ll take a scenic island tour with a special stop at the Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary.
Don't worry, we'll also fit in some time to check out Bequia’s local markets and shops. Then top it all off with a BBQ on the back of the boat.
Day 5
Hiking, Snorkeling, Beach BBQ
Destination: Tobago Cays
Description: We’ll start the day under the almond tree with a lovely coffee and cake at the Gingerbread Bakery in Bequia.
Then it’s time to sail into the heart of the Grenadines, the Tobago Cays. The Tobago Cays offer untrammeled beauty both above and below the surface of the water. Each of the Cays offer a short hike and unique view and photo opp of one of the most beautiful anchorages in the world.
Watch out for the Iguanas! Snorkeling and SUPing will fill in the rest of the afternoon. Dinner will be an unforgettable beach BBQ with lobster, fish, conch, and a table full of local side dishes. Oh yeah!
Day 6
Snorkeling, Kitesurfing with JT Procenter
Destination: Clifton Harbor, Union Island
Description: An early morning snorkel in the Tobago Cays will offer our best chance to view the grenadine sea life up close.
Sea turtles, rays, sea stars, and countless fish will entertain you all morning.
Then we sail to Union Island where we'll begin our two-day kitesurfing lesson with pro crew at JT Procenter.
Happy hour at Happy Island is a must.
Day 7
Kitesurfing with JT Procenter, SUP
Destination: Chatham Bay, Union Island
Description: Day two of our kitesurfing lesson is sure to be a trip highlight for you.
We’re gonna go hard until we can’t!
Following a lunch at the local market we'll sail around to the leeward side of the island and enjoy the beautiful Chatham Bay.
A sunset SUP mission will tap the last bit of energy out of the crew before we head into shore for another Grenadine beach BBQ.
Day 8
Hike, SUP
Destination: Tyrell Bay, Carriacou
Description: Your day begins with a short hike up the leeward side of Union Island, which never disappoints.
A meal of LTD’s signature banana pancakes and bacon is sure to set us up for our sail to Carriacou.
Upon arriving in Tyrell Bay, we will SUP through an incredible mangrove-edged inlet. A tasty cocktail and a local fish dinner ashore finishes off your day.
Day 9
Snorkel
Destination: Grenada
Description: We’ll be making way for Grenada as the sun rises over Carriacou, which is one of our favorite crossings. You'll spend most of the day reaching across the world famous Grenadine trade winds.
A truly unique and refreshing snorkelling experience awaits in Grenada where the underwater sculptures off Moliniere Point never disappoint. A BBQ dinner on board serves as the perfect platform for a “last-night” celebration.
Day 10
Leave the boat, Island Tour
Destination: Grenada
Description: Your morning will be filled with mixed emotions as you prepare to leave the boat.
But never fear, Grenada will welcome us with lush jungle waterfalls, a lively spice market, and the friendliest island vibe in the entire Caribbean.
The perfect capstone to your unforgettable experience.
The perfect combination of vacation and education. I learned more this week than a semester in college.
