Caribbean Sailing Lessons

THANK YOU

Thank you for contacting LTD Sailing!  We will be in touch with you about your inquiry as soon as we can.

In the meantime, here are some of our most frequently asked questions and answers.

“How do I book a course?”

Booking is easy. First, check our calendar for courses during the dates that you’re available. If you see a course that works, let us know and we’ll sign you up.

If you don’t see any courses for the dates you want, contact us. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule. We normally require a minimum of two students to book a course

“Can we book a private course?”

Absolutely! We will be happy to schedule a private course to meet your needs.

“Do you offer any discounted rates?”

Yes! With two people sharing a cabin you save $250 USD per person. We don't require you to share a cabin with a stranger but if you are willing to share a cabin, you save!

“What is included in the price of the course?”

Our week-long live aboard ‘Cruise and Learn’ courses include seven days, six nights aboard a well maintained, fully equipped yacht in the 39’ to 45’ range. Your course will be taught by a professional ASA certified instructor and licensed USCG captain. Provisioning is included, except for two dinners which we will enjoy on shore. We will meet you at the airport and arrange transportation to the marina. We won’t nickel and dime you, we include hull insurance, cruising permits, Marine Park entry fees, fuel, ice, water, linens, towels and snorkeling gear.

“Where do I get my textbooks?”

The textbooks are available from the American Sailing Association website at www.ASA.com. To find out which textbooks are required for the course you are interested in, take a look at this link.

“How do I get to Grenada?”

The Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND), offers direct flights to and from the United States, Canada, and Europe daily. We will be happy to help find the best flight for you – here is a link to detailed flight information.

“Where should we stay before and after our sailing course?”

There are several options available starting at about $100.00 USD per night. If you would like us to help with your reservations, just let us know.

“Where will we be sailing on our Cruise and Learn course?”

On our seven day courses, we will be exploring a couple of the anchorages around the island of Grenada, sailing up to Tyrell Bay on Carriacou, visiting Petite St. Vincent and Petite Martinique, stopping by Sandy Island and then returning to Grenada for a visit to Molinere Point and some amazing snorkeling. The sailing is great and the anchorages are spectacular!

We hope that this information has helped to answer some of your questions. We will be following up with an e-mail soon. We look forward to helping you plan your Caribbean sailing vacation in the warm trade wind breezes and Caribbean blue waters of the West Indies!

Beam winds,
