Meet our Instructor
Miles Webb

South African Born, Miles has been on the water most of his life. Raised in South Africa, he spent most of his childhood weekends sailing dinghies, from an Optimist through to Dabchicks and then racing Catamarans and If its blowing a gale he is probably out kitesurfing!
His affinity for the wind and water is his driving force. After completing his Yacht Master Ocean at an early age, he did subsequent Mileage with yacht deliveries from South Africa across the world. He has Been teaching RYA at ocean level for 7 years and recently converted to ASA. He now lives on his Morgan classic here in Grenada while teaching for LTD Sailing.
Miles has a calm and reassuring manner with people, borne of years of experience at the helm. Both in rough and tranquil seas. He enjoys the niche of teaching sailing, being able to share and encourage others.
Why Tip Your Instructor
At LTD Sailing, we are striving to offer you the best sailing school experience in the Caribbean. We hand pick our instructors who work hard to ensure you learn lots, sail even more and most importantly - enjoy yourself along the way.
I often get asked how much students should tip their instructors and even why students should tip their instructors at all. LTD Sailing pays your instructor to teach sailing. You aren’t tipping them for that. The reason you should consider tipping your instructor is if they went above and beyond – if they not only taught you to sail but also gave you the experience of a lifetime.
If you think your instructor has gone above and beyond this week, a gratuity is highly appreciated. The industry standard is 15% - 20% and tipping is, as always, at your discretion.
