Back to where we started! The San Juan Island is the old stomping grounds for more than one of the LTD Sailing crew. We love the Caribbean but we miss the smell of pine, these unique islands and, well, wild salmon.
What’s included:
The boat, The skipper, all meals except 3 ashore
Not included: Airfare, onshore accommodations/meals, alcohol
Why at the end of September?
The San Juan Islands in late fall are the absolute best time to sail and explore IMO!
Why?
There’s wind. Summer months there is not much sailing going on
It’s quiet. After Labor Day everyone gives up on sailing
The COLORS! We get to enjoy the fall colors!
The weather is fairly mild. On average, 68 degrees with nights it gets down to 47
The people. The tourists are gone and the locals are friendly!
The FOOD! The seafood in this region is the best you will ever have!
Whales! Although we can’t guarantee, whale pods live in the area
We will anchor/moor/dock at a different island every night. You can participate in the sailing as much as you want or not if you please. We have two boats with four cabins three with three cabins so this will be an intimate experience.
