Deserted beach on Mustique

Mustique is a two and a half hour sail from Blue Lagoon on St. Vincent, where our marina is located. Mustique is home to some of the Grenadines most renowned attractions including Basil’s Beach Bar, The Firefly Restaurant & Hotel and Macaroni Beach (consistently rated one of the top ten beaches in the world). Have you ever dreamed of riding horseback through the surf? Mustique has its own equestrian center which can arrange a morning horseback ride on the beach. Mustique also has a first rate dive shop with access to some amazing diving.

Skippered Charter guests snorkeling in the Tobago Cays

Tobago Cays Marine Park is the crowned jewel of the Grenadines. This amazingly picturesque group of uninhabited islands is located in the southern Grenadines. The water is always an unreal hue of Caribbean crystal blue. The protected waters are rich in sea life and snorkeling here is an experience not to be missed. This is the place for snorkeling with the turtles! Several of the small islands offer nice short hikes which afford amazing views of the cays and an opportunity to see huge iguanas and other land based creatures. A lobster barbeque on the beach put on by one of the local entrepreneurs is a surreal experience. This island paradise was featured in the movie, Pirates of the Caribbean- “Where’s the rum gone”?!

Happy Island surrounded by beautiful Caribbean Blue water

Clifton Harbor on the east side of Union Island is the commerce center of the southern Grenadines. This busy little bay is a great place to go ashore for re-provisioning and exploring. Clifton is the picture perfect Caribbean town with its brightly colored buildings and open air market. The French influence on the island has brought great restaurants and bakeries supplying tasty croissants and baguettes. A ‘must’ experience while in Clifton Harbor is a visit to Happy Island for a beverage at sunset! The small island airport is within walking distance to the harbor and there is a kite boarding school based here if you can’t wait to try the latest wind powered craze.

Petite St. Vincent is the southernmost island of the Grenadines. This tiny island is a privately owned resort. The southern side of the island provides a scenic, well protected anchorage. PSV features a premier restaurant and unique beach bar, both open to the public. Nearby you will find Mopion – the smallest registered island in the world!

Beautiful Caribbean sailing school anchorage

Chatham Bay is a quiet bay located on the west side of Union Island. This side of Union is much quieter than the Clifton side. The only inhabitants on this side are several small beach barbeque shacks and one nice restaurant & bar spread out along the beach. This anchorage is un-crowded and a pleasant change from the hustle and bustle of Clifton Harbor.

Beautiful Caribbean anchorage

Salt Whistle Bay on the island of Mayreau is THE perfect Caribbean dream destination. This idyllic little bay offers good protection and a comfortable anchorage. The leeward side has incredibly soft sand and a perfectly curved, palm lined beach. Just a stone’s throw to the east is the deserted beach on the windward side which offers long stretches of white sand and wonderful views of the Tobago Cays on the horizon. A short, but steep, walk into town will provide you with your choice of five unique local restaurants. There are only 250 people living on Mayreau. This island did not have electricity until 2005. Don’t miss the view from the Catholic Church at the top of the hill! Mayreau Gardens on the east side of the island is probably the best dive site in the southern Grenadines.

Sunset on Bequia

Bequia is the northernmost island of the Grenadines, just a two hour sail south of St. Vincent. Port Elizabeth is a very popular anchorage for both charter boats and cruisers alike. It is a great place to pick up fresh produce and any other odds and ends that you might be looking for. Bequia boasts a long list of interesting restaurants including the world famous Mac’s Pizza – home of the best lobster pizza you have ever tasted! While in Bequia be sure to plan a visit to the Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary. For the avid scuba divers, Bequia offers some of the best dive sites found anywhere in the Caribbean.
